I was picking up New Britain on CLMRN when they made the switch until they changed the TG's in the New Britain site later that day. All I had to do was change the TG's on the New Britain site and I pick them up just like the old system. They sound exactly the same as before. Feb 3, 2023. #11. From my experience on trips to Austin, TX the SDS100 is far superior to the 436HP receiving simulcast systems. The SDS200 is also superior to the 536HP on CLMRN. When I drove through CT wih a 536HP in my truck there were often dead spots. No dead spots with the SDS200.Sounds like the schools, FD and EMS are still gonna stay on the LTR system with contingency plans for if it suffers any failure they can't fix or patch. He said they had a lighting strike a while back and made some temp repairs until a permanent replacement, one P25 TRS for PD, FD, EMS and town services and a DMR solution for the schools.DEMHS should still be utilizing the VHF Low and High bands. The VHF High band frequencies are utilized by the the 5 regions' town EOC's in CT to communicate with each other and the state. Not every single town will be on the CLMRN or have equipment to it.
