Yes spawn is random. The way I have gotten them is through herd management. I'll stick with one animal the whitetail and only hunt whitetails. I'll only take the 2 biggest bucks out of that particular herd and move on. No females until I get that say 20th male kill then only one female.Weapons are used to hunt . Drink zone every 150m. Got a diamond pretty quickly and working on GO. If you want to grind for a GO definitely Rancho, they are only at 8 lakes so finding all the drinking zones is easy. I like Layton more though for the rest of the hunting with Moose Bear Elk and Ducks. Best thing is to do it on a map you enjoy so the grind is easier. Rancho for sure, I got mine already it's just fast travel lake to lake, very easy. Much easier to find zones on rancho. Rancho. Ranchos is ok but to brushy to hunt some lakes but I got my great one under 800 kills but every maps different bassicly your rancho map might take ...
