They get re filled with Chevron Delo 75w90 synthetic oil and we don't change it again unless we have to open up the diff for something (leaky cover, pinion seal etc). Several high milers and no issues ever.
On my 20 es, the fill/check plug is on the right side of the front diff. as your looking at it from the front of the bike. Did that make sense? When you go to change the fluid, the drain should be on the bottom of the diff. Behind the small skid plate. Here's the CVT Fluid fill diagram from the FSM. Note the proximity to the starter motor, electrical connectors, and the transmission oil pan. This is good for future references. But the OP did not fill via the CVT fill port. On the drivers side just to the right of the half shaft is a plug.

If you are doing front and back, you will need 6 qts for both. As for instructions, it is pretty straight forward drain and fill to just below fill hole.
