2 posts · Joined 2008. #1 · Jul 10, 2008. I have a 9n ford tractor with a broken hydraulic pump housing, found and bought a 8n complete pump with the understanding they interchange, but the control linkage is different, do I have to replace the hole top lift plate to convert it?? Trent. Like.
Shut the tractor off and checked the hydraulic oil level. Not a drop of oil on the dip stick. I ran it right out of oil. Shut her down for the night. Next day I went and filled the hydraulic/transmission fluid to the proper level. Fired up the tractor and let her warm up for 10 minutes. Tried to lift the plow.Jun 9, 2015 · If you will get one of my 8N lift adjusting jig fixtures you can fix that lift. It is impossible to adjust the 8N lift with the instructions in most manuals. That adjustment would work on a lift that was prestine but it ain't! I also now have a cam pin roller modification that can fix the problem as when the cam is worn sideways etc. Watch. Shop.
