There was also the exact number of dragon items that I had sold to her. To make sure, I went back to Ahkari and bought the dragon bones and they were no longer in the chest. I placed the bones back and Ahkari had some to sell me again. Even without the caravan coming around, the chest will reset after about 20 in-game days. And don't forget there are 2 more chests. One by Markarth, and one by Solitude.
