There are lots of folks who have leaky petcocks but they are able to fix them readily and inexpensively with a rebuild kit. For gas to end up in the engine oil, two things need to fail. First, the petcock must fail and let fuel into the carb when the bike is shut off. Second, the carb float valve must fail.You only need 3 things to make it run - Spark - Fuel - Air/Compression. I think you will be fine with "mineral oil" vs. synthetic and others have said that the specific weight you have is okay (I know nothing about the weight issue).
