I was screwing around with franchise mode and you can change their development traits like making a normal dev player to xfactor. It randomly assigns them the abilities when you up their dev trait however, you don't get to assign them. I couldn't figure out a way to edit the actual traits in the roster editor or editing a player in franchise.
