The NCLEX-RN consists of 74-145 questions. This includes 15 pre-test questions that do not count toward test takers’ scores. The NCLEX-PN consists of 85-205 questions, including 25 non-scored questions. The NCLEX progressively asks you harder questions. Most students would probably say that SATA questions are the hardest question formats because, as the name implies, you need to find “all” the correct answers for a given question. Therefore most students reason, if I’m getting a lot of SATA questions, then I’m getting tougher questions. This means that the test questions adapt to how well you answer the questions. When you answer questions incorrectly, the questions get easier, when you answer them correctly they get more difficult. The NCLEX has a minimum of 75 questions and a maximum of 145 questions. This means if you do really well, you could finish in 75 questions and pass.I scored between 55-65 for most of quizzes/etc, I used 900 of the Qbank questions but gave up on those because it had a lot of questions that didn't make sense and contraindicated other questions in the Qbank, so the last week before the exam I just went back and took RN trainer 6 and 7 and remediated every question!
