Adding "real" Jake brake to an ISC. Does anyone have any experience adding a Jake Brake (engine compression brake, NOT exhaust brake) to an ISC engine? There would have to be alot of mod done to the 6.7 to get a Jake to work. The cost would not help neither, the newer diesel use exhaust brake. The only ones I see are on the Detroit, those are the older models DDEC'S and series 60. ... Jake brakes have been working fine and they were working tonight when I came off of Monteagle Mountain but now they will not come on and work on any one of the 3 stages. Everything else on my Smart Wheel is working fine. I have cut the truck on and off made sure the clutch and brake switch was working correctly.
