Shadow fury is really good for finding and killing bats but flower has a spam ability that clears rooms. Withered gives +163 S for me on a legendary sword. A player has cata 50 and 2240 S+C without a sword reforge (DeathStreeks). Withered gives +185 S on a legendary weapon for him. The fractional increase in damage is ( ( (2240+185)/200+1) / (2240/200+1))^2 = 1.16. As you can see, withered gets worse and worse.
