Got through this season using factory ammo on my 300 WSM and 300 Win Mag. With this off season the goal is to develop loads for both rifles. I typically will go on an Idaho/Montana/Oregon Mule deer hunt each year where the area is steep, high elevation, cold, and shoots have been in the 300-900 yard range (mostly 350-450) in our hunting party.

I do not have the quick load data, but the #6 Nosler book shows 61.0 grs of IMR4350 as the starting load and 65.0 as maximum. My buddies 300 WSM liked H4831SC and IMR4831, shot them both to about 1/2" 3-shot groups at 100 yards, to the same point of impact, and only about 20 fps difference between the average muzzle velocity between the two loads.
