DIBELS 8th Edition LNF is a standardized, individually administered measure of a student’s accuracy and fluency with naming a series of upper- and lower-case letters of the alphabet. The measure is designed as an indicator of later reading risk for students in kindergarten and first grade. The measure is timed for one-minute. DIBELS 8th Edition was administered to 4,453 students in grades K – 8 in twenty-nine schools. Participating students came from throughout the country: all four census regions were represented. 48.1% of the participating students were female, 50.9% were male. 18.1% of students were Hispanic.
