The rear will take just short of 4 qts so you will have to buy 6 qts total of your fluid to service a 4wd and that takes into account that you have a stock rear diff cover. Now the manual says use 75W-90 you may ... Both the front and rear diffs take just short of that amount. The rear diff with a stock cover is 6.4 pints which is just short of 4 qts when properly filled to GM spec. The front IIRC correctly is 3.7 pints or just short of 2 qts so with the 6 you have you are just fine.
