Aug 18, 2008. #1. Ok, so I've installed the new electronic ignition, alternator, 12v coil, resister according to the instructions. Before I even attempt to start her up, I would like to test the ohms going from the resister to the coil. Of course I still have to wait to replace the coil due to a big rattle in the one they sent me.
