I'm pretty sure the only thing that changed with Moonveil is that it's poise damage was slightly decreased in PvP only . Should be exactly the same in PvE. Also, a ton of weapons had poise damage nerfed in PvP, not just katanas. So, effectively, most weapons weren't really nerfed. It's more like poise got a buff, as well as a few weapon classes ...

Go like a keen (I believe that’s the right one) should scale with int/dex. Moonveil🤮. Naga - lower damage, longer range. Uchi - higher damage, lower range. For powerstance, the way the katana combo works doesn't give you a ton of benefit from the nagas extra length.

It allows you to set the frostbite status effect and it has bleed build up just like the moonveil katana. Moonveil is really fast to use and does great damage. The nerf hasn’t changed that in the slightest. I think most weapons are better than the DMGS. Your build was pretty close to my first build just dex and int changed and less vigor. And I tried so many builds to finally beat Melania and with your build, I beat her first try thank you was stuck there for days. Rivers of blood worked very well against her for me personally. Huh, nice.
Its weapon arts is fast and, the recovery is equally fast so it's really safe to use. You'll only need the smallest of opening to unleash it safely. Furthermore transient moon light does very good posture damage (even post nerf), comparable to unsheathe. Except you do it at range.

The unsheathe attacks are just really good on moonveil. And they are hella fun. The charged R2 attack can hit enemies in the air. And the R1 hits in an aoe which is also nice.
