Nov 25, 2016 · In my limited experience I think of Kimber as the Bose of the 1911 world. Good stuff but overpriced for what it actually is because they advertise more. Not saying that there is anything wrong with their guns etc... But they have to pay for that advertising somehow. One of my best shooters is a Ruger SR1911.

I've got a second that's identical to the new one aside from it having a couple Wilson Combat parts and being a part of a dedicated hunting rig.Some people claim that there should be a 500 round break in period. I'm not going to tell you one way or the other on that issue. What I can tell you is to field strip and clean the gun before heading to the range. For whatever reason, after 100 rounds, the problem went away. Have since put 3 other types of ammo through it and I can’t get it to FTF. The disproportional relationship that mag had with this gun seems to have worked itself out.
