I tried to trade a cheap option yesterday on a cash account and it stopped me for not having available min balance in my account, I think it's $2000 min. Cash accounts can day trade, too. But only for amount of actual cash. Margin accounts need $25k to play. I'm new to this and just read all the TOS TOS (Think Or Swim Terms Of Service) LOL
