Nitrous helps with not over heating the trans fluid when your spooling them, 5 seconds on the brakes trying to get it spooled and then waiting for the other guy to stage will have you changing fluid between rounds. Watch Keith Szabo stage his car and watch Eric Dillard stage his. Just learning this stuff too with mine, and the idea is probably spool time. Get it as high as possible before staging so the car is basically ready just after you get on the trans brake.
