Bungie already increased the drop rates for red border ... the quest for crafting class-based Exotic Glaives will require only one portion of each Weapon Pattern from the Wellspring weapons and each daily Wellspring weapon will have Deepsight. Upon unlocking a recipe for the first Exotic Glaive, other classes' recipes will be purchasable …38 runs, 21 weapon drops, 9 deepsight. It's not enough to extrapolate accurate data, but we can at least calculate a ballpark. With bad luck protection enabled, the droprates are probably at least 50% for a weapon, 25% for a deepsight weapon and 5% for a glaive pattern. Good data.

I played enough Wellspring back in the 1st season of Witchqueen to unlock all the legendary patterns. I have also done weekly Master Wellsprings until reaching Pinnacle cap in each season. And I still only have the one Exotic Glaive that I unlocked through the quest. Whatever the drop rate for the remaining two patterns is, it's way too damned low.

That said, their drop rates are abysmally low, sometimes taking people over 100 clears of an activity to acquire. But Bungie has taken steps to combat this issue; there is now a system for all RNG raid/dungeon exotics to improve drop rates. RNG is pretty horrendous though, so spending the resources might be worth it for most. The drop rate is low, i remember people saying they did 20+ Master Wellsprings before it dropped. Unfortunately I can't buy one of my exotic glaives maybe because of a bug but idk. Agreed. Drop rate is unreasonable. Just ran Wellspring for several days and nothing. Guess I'll run it 3 times after weekly reset for power gear. Don't hesitate to get up close and personal. Your first daily Wellspring drop of Tarnation or Come to Pass is now guaranteed to have Deepsight Resonance, so it's even easier to shape your first craftable Exotic Glaive.
Gets three pieces of armor, the Glaive, AND the exotic on his first ever raid.
