Ford f150 rear door wont open.

The rear driver door on 2000 f150 stopped opening up from both the outside and inside. The panel is pretty easy to remove. This can be fixed with a zip tie.One possible cause is the level of charge in the battery. As the power diminishes, features get disabled. One way to determine this is to test the battery with a volt meter. Charge it overnight if it needs to be charged, or go on a longer drive, i.e. an hour or so, then see if the handle works.It really isn't that bad. Just need a long 1/4 extension with a 6mm socket to get to the two screws on the bottom of the door panel. You can use a pry bar or large plate blade screwdriver to lift it up a bit and get more clearance. This morning i unlock the truck by sensor and go to open the rear drivers door to grab the snow scraper. That odd it won't open.
