I took NBME 28 today with 72% correct (99% chance of passing), but there were at most 7 questions that I could somewhat attribute to getting correct because I did the high-yield NBME anki deck last week. Being conservative and assuming I would have gotten all 7 wrong would put me at 69% correct for unknown % chance of passing. As you go down the list, the NBMEs lose their power in predicting your chance of passing. The best predictors are NMBE 29 and 30, followed by 28. Which is why it’s important not to burn through your NMBEs in 3 weeks.
