GT7 Update 1.31 changed the physics. Pre 1.31 tunes might still be better than stock un-tuned cars but the numbers will always be out. Stick with post 1.31 tunes. There’s an 800pp tune for this car.

I ended up spending a bit of time trying to figure it out, and it seems that you need to go to GT Auto -> Customize Cars -> Custom Parts -> Rear -> Type B. For whatever reason that changed the maximum front downforce from 100 to 200 for me. Depends on what you mean as competitive, and against which cars. To compete for the absolute top spot at 800 PP, on any track (save for SSX), only Gr.1 cars are viable, and I believe everyone knows that.
