It runs bad, looks bad and plays bad. DayZ is the kinda game you have to gamble with. It is glitchy, runs bad, dosent look too good, has a learning curve and has a more hidden community compared to other games. The lead dev of DayZ (sumrak) was a modder/developer going back to a2:dayzmod and now works at BI. He just released Namalask (free mod) for DayZ SA. That mod you saw is on PC (consoles don't have mods) and the server sets the modlist.

M70 and mosin even out under 300 yards with maybe a slight advantage to the mosin. It does handle a little bit better, mostly it's easier to track shots. My personal pick is the m70 or the blaze. Any way DayZ has better PVP, way more player interaction and the maps (Official or modded) suit the game better (SCUM's too big for their server capacity), SCUM has better graphics, better inventory and medical system and more stuff to do as a whole if we're talking official servers.
