And by using the P365’s 3.1-inch barrel in the longer P365XL slide SIG has been able to use the extra room to integrate a compensator for reducing muzzle flip. Mar 8, 2024 · The only way to put a 3.7" barrel on a X Macro Comp is to change the slide and barrel however you do not need to change the spring. Sig XL slides ~ $349.00, Sig barrel ~ $220....I would buy a complete P365XL before buying parts. I did make the move a bought the X Macro Comp. I picked it up this morning. But that’s not a macro exclusive issue. The shorter barrel, yes. It is shorter but the drop in velocity is the difference between shooting basic .40S&W and +P 9mm. Nominal at best. I shoot the X-Macro better than the XL. Maybe an X-Macro Tacops would even the field. I will say that the X-Macro “Comp” does shoot a bit flatter for me and with just maybe a bit less perceived recoil. It certainly does seem that the X-Macro Tacops represents a great value with the extra mags. Why in the world would Sig finally produce a 365 with a great AXG frame, but slash the barrel length down from 3.7" to 3.1"? I'll take the longer barrel over a comped "2-port slide integrated expansion chamber" (Sig's own overblown description) any day! I'll gladly hang on to my X-Macro Tacops with its long 3.7" barrel, and its virtual zero recoil.
