This 137,459 sq. ft. 16.7 million dollar facility was built on a thirty acre site located at 1001 N. Doolittle Road in Edinburg, Texas. On March 28, 2008, the Juvenile Justice Center was officially dedicated in honor of Judge Mario E. Ramirez, Jr., Judge of the 332nd State District Court.
The facility provides short term care for youth who have been accused or adjudicated pending court hearings or while awaiting transfer to another facility.
