I’ve only had 1 fire, early on, in 2 years using my 1050, and I attribute that largely that to using Drip pans and/or the added manifold cover mod.(cover w/ a lip for doubling it as a water pan). Line the manifold cover in foil and cleaning couldn’t be easier. Just toss the foil.
