The company closed in 1941 and the machinery was purchased by one of the former owners who formed The Master Glass Company. As mentioned above, Alox Manufacturing Company distributed its marbles in either boxes ("Tit-Tat-Toe" game) or in net mesh bags. Recently, three "fantasy" poly bags with fake Alox headers have appeared. These are the now infamous Army, Navy, and Air Force poly bags. They are completely fake and contain modern Marble King marbles.A well played with and loved marble. Not many collect beat marbles most want mint condition antiques. At the shop we would put $10 and be lucky if we got $5 and that would go to some kid that just started collecting and has no concern for condition.
