The valve seal was also a problem. The exhaust valve sit's in a pocket that allows oil to sit in it. That makes it easier for the oil to be sucked into the exhaust. Yes, the oil is being sucked into the exhaust when running. Use impact wrench and remove the nut on front pully. remove the roller basket and hold it together so not to let the rollers fall to the ground. There is a sleeve and a washer/ring. Remove the washer ring. Put it back together.Just rebuilt a 400 from the crank up. It runs great but on a cold start seems the choke works than doesn't. To clarify, cold start: apply full choke, turn it over starts right up and revs a bit, pretty normal so far. Then it will run for a few seconds and die, as if I turned the choke off. Jun 9, 2020 · wizkid00104. I have an 08 with a battery from 2018 which is normal lead acid. Your best bet would be to remove the battery to confirm it is a lead acid. I believe they use Yuasa batteries. If it’s lead acid, the battery tender is fine. If by chance it is a lithium ion battery, you need a tender that is compatible with lithium ion. After replacing it I hooked a test light to the ground and tested the hot wire (blue wire),which had a light which proved power was getting to it. Then when I hit the 4wd button the light went out which showed the hot wire was no longer getting power. Same as when sliding it into diff lock.
