FedEx allows people to send a request to have your package sent to a Walgreens, or Dollar General for pickup. Just gotta have your tracking number & a ID to receive it, and the location you pick can hold it for 7 days. just go to FedEx's website for instructions. There might be some sort of serial number, but I don't see how it would be remotely read. The only number that would be unique to OP's individual Steam Deck is MAC address but those are a) not guaranteed to be unique b) easily changed. What you do is, once you get a tracking number, you can go to their site and change the shipping stuff. You should be able to select hold at fed ex facility for pickup.

So they will block the serial number not the model number. You can buy 20 of the same model number tv's. But every single one of them 20 will have a different serial number. At least I know how to complain correctly if they mysteriously lose the replacement Steam Deck -- Hoping I hear something from Valve sooner than later. Its been about a week now.
