IDK why they made it so you can't get back in. The first time I went in I was hoping I could go back on a regular basis and clean house. I hate those Thalmor bastards...The best way to get back in is to shield-bash your horse so it's head is in the gate, the mount it, ride through, shield bash the horse into the second gate, ride through that, then climb the wall left of the door with your horse and that should get you into the courtyard. From there you can go anywhere in the embassy. Hope this helps.
