Due to family issues, I was not able to get back to the project until this last weekend. To my dismay, one post was bent forward at the top, but was still square.Only complaint is the width of the standoff was closer to 5.75 inches versus 6.00 inches. Ended up shaving off about 1/4 inch to make it fit with my post. Used the recommended heat treated nails to attach to the post, and added in a couple Simpson Strong support braces for the two open sides. Worked well, just wish the dimensions were truly 6 x 6.
