IMO BotW isn't really a game that benefits all that much from 60fps. Yes, it looks smoother, but unlike in a shooter or a racing sim, it doesn't really affect the gameplay. Since pushing more frames out demands more system resources, your fps should fluctuate. But if you cap it at 30 fps, there's a constant stream of system resources and should be much more stable.
